Student Publication - Re Visited Brief

STUDENT PUBLICATION

Me and sam decided we would re visit the brief so we could present it to Amber and gain some feedback at this stage. We decided we would we-write the brief as what we had initial set out to do we were doing something slightly different now in terms of what was going in the publication and who are audience was.

Re-Written Brief-
Sam and i also decided we would make a list of things we would like to include in the publication to gain feedback on . We felt that this would help define our brief as much as possible.

Plan/Structure

-Over View of the course from course leader

-Short Articles from Graphics Students about the course

-Student’s accomplishments and exposure

-Resources for the Graphic Students

-Quotes from BAGD Teachers

-Manifestos from BAGD Teachers

-Interviews with Alumni - 6
-Interviews with professionals who come in for day briefs and talks

-Student’s feedback on their day briefs

-Leeds what’s available – printers, museums, exhibition spaces.

3/11

Sam and i had a meeting with Amber today where we went over the brief and what we should be doing next.

Feedback:

-Possible to speak with second years to get feedback.

-Speak with second years to see if there any help we can get with our brief.

-Write a brief for the second years (possible first years)

-Make sure we don't include anything thats featured in the prospectus or nest magazine

-We are promoting the course not marketing it to new students its to show people how good our degree programme is.

-Its about us as third years.

-We decided to re-write the brief for the final time based on what feedback we received.

RE-WRITTEN BRIEF
...

With the plan and structure list we had we crossed out what we wouldn't be including.

-Over View of the course from course leader

-Short Articles from Graphics Students about the course

-Student’s accomplishments and exposure

-Resources for the Graphic Students

-Quotes from BAGD Teachers

-Manifestos from BAGD Teachers

-Interviews with Alumni - 6
-Interviews with professionals who come in for day briefs and talks

-Student’s feedback on their day briefs

-Leeds what’s available – printers, museums, exhibition spaces.

Although we have got rid of content we were going to put it i do feel more confident as the brief is now more defined and we have a better idea of what we need to and what we don't need to include.

What Sam and i plan to do next:

- Re-Write brief and write an email for Tom to send to Graphic design students levels 4 & 5

- Plan a brief and questions to present to the other years for after assessment week

- Begin gathering content for the publication

- Begin layout variations.
