DBA - Presentation & Feedback

DBA Presentation

We also showed our Gifs we had produced one for the Logo & one i designed of the bus shelter design.

Presenting

Today my group and I presented to DBA. I am really pleased with our presentation and how it went. We went through the presentation twice and i feel like we explained everything we wanted to in the right way and clearly.

Feedback we received:

- Execution good and professional people would buy into it.

- The resolution was almost to defined

- Push ideas further

- What else can you do with the grid and identity where else can this go

- Performed well as a group

- Don’t think of restrictions /cost

- They liked the simplicity of our concept

I am really pleased with the feedback although it was quite daunting we worked well as a collective and presented at a professional level. When being at the first crit and showing the DBA people our concept, we were given feedback to either progress or start again as our original concept was dated. Today we received further feedback about our professionalism and how well we have turned our concept an idea around in a short time. I really enjoyed DBA and this work will be a perfect piece for our online and psychical portfolios.

DBA - Final Designs

DBA Final Designs

Before putting the presentation together there was still other elements that needed to be put together to complete the brief. My group decided to split the remaining tasks. We needed to produce environment advertising , train advertising and an app to go with the branding and identity.

Split roles:

Beth - Train advertisements

Sam - App

Danielle - Promotional Mockups

Me - Environment advertising.

Using the final posters i decided to produce some gifs using the concept of connecting the north and having lines adding gradually on the poster until reaching the top.

Final Posters:

Giff:

I decided to start with the leeds poster i saved every image individually adding one of the connecting lines every time.

Finished Giff -

Giff No.2

Made the giff same way as before but for a different city as we already used the blue one city for another poster.

Saved individual images.

After doing this i had to place all of the Giff images into the mockup and then re save them as individual images.

It was very difficult to do this as they had to be in exactly the some place every time else the image would move.

Using measurements : 3.96px 13:06px

After this stage i added all the images in the same way as i originally created them and made it into a final giff.

Final Giff:

This specific Giff being saved into a mockup was really hard and it took a long time to finish but i am glad i did it as i felt i contributed a lot to the group work and the overall brief and presentation. It was the first time i have made a Giff and even though it is tedious method it worked well for our concept.

DBA - Development

DBA Development

After our feedback with DBA our group decided to focus on circles and how we can execute the brief using this theme. The circles represent things connecting one not been able to operating with out an other. I began researching minimal shapes and poster design.

Minimal posters-

Deconstructed design:

Transclinical

I found this branding for a clinical establishment really interesting there use of colour and how they have placed the type around a structure also creating the logo based around circles.
