DR ME - Live Brief
Brief 001 -
Create a vinyl cover - ''Were gonna be releasing a limited edition 12'' of a mix evian christ made last year called duga-3''
Jamie and i began by first researching the website and then the song.
We looked into what duga-3 transmission might mean and were presented with some images we decided we could use to incorporate into some of our designs.
We next got a side image of Evian Christ and i started to play around with layers and different filters.

Variation 3 - Using the same variation i used a circle tool and made the shape and then altered it in a 90 degrees angle to slightly distort the image.
Jamie then began with using the same image and cutting it out from the background.
He then found this image to distort with the photoshop file.

Me and Jamie much preferred the last variation and were pleased with it. When we were showing our work too Ryan & Mark they both suggested the floating head was better by its self with out the body attached.

A3 Dimensions.
Jamie and i first began by looking at the band and existing design to get a feel for there style. We also listened to a few of there songs.
Existing -
I found an image on designspiration and began to alter it using tools and layers in photoshop.
I first played with a few filters not none of them worked aswel as the colours with the off white background.
I next began making circles inside of the image and turning them around to create a spiral affect.
Once i had the shape i was Layer Via cutting the shapes and they were automatically going into another layer which made it easier for us to work with Jamie showed me this method.
We then decided to position the circle shape in the top corner and have the text down the left hand side of the A3 document.
Jamie found a typeface we wanted to use but you had to buy it so we used the website and typed up the name of the bank and traced over it.
We used the same typeface for the '+Saint Coltrane' part and the date.
We used Apercu typeface to put the website links on there.
I really enjoyed working with Jamie we struggled to come up with a concept at first but once we began researching and experimenting in photoshop we made some really unique variations. I feel like we learnt techniques from each other which was really beneficially as we were only working together for a few hours.
Its the first time i have worked with Jamie and it went really well i feel like we helped each other and our ideas just seem to come together. Jamie and i already have a collaboration set for the new year and i am looking forward to working on that knowing how well we have produced work together in such a short space of time.
Brief 003.
Self Directed Art Piece
Create a piece of work EACH to no brief and for no reason than the process of creativity and artistic freedom.

As i was running out of time towards the end of the day i quickly produced a small photo colleague. Im am very interested in fashion and fashion branding i went to the library and used some magazines to photocopy some images and put them together. I wish i had had a little more time for the last brief but I'm happy with my small colleague.
I really enjoyed Dr.Me coming in for the workshop today i feel as though getting back into uni was slightly difficult as it is very self directed i may have been abit negative towards getting creative but i feel like today as helped me get back into a good work flow. It was really interesting producing three small briefs in such a short space of time. It was beneficial to work collbrativiely and work in the studio with everyone and taking advantage of the fact we had creatives there to help us and give us advice.
