Megan Compton Fashion Branding - Meeting & Final Business Card

Megan Compton - Meeting (25.03.2015)

Megan Compton - Fashion Branding Meeting

Before i met with Megan i had produced a range of variations of logos before our next meeting. As she is a fashion designer and asked for a minimal business cards i wanted to really focus on typography as apposed to a logo type.

I first picked minimal typefaces as that would work best.
Megan discussed with me how she wanted to have black white possibly grey. I looked a grey colour palette and decided that nude would also work.

In the meeting Megan and I orderd some samples from GF Smith to try instead of the nude colours.

(31.03.2015)
Today i had a meeting with Megan i wrote a check list of things we needed to discuss and sort out to make things more refined. When going through the list i wrote down things we had decided.

- Details for business Card - Email , Number & Web adress.
- Typeface for the back of business card - Apercu Medium - Icons adding to the personal information.
- CV - Need Info
- Invoice , Personal Note to send out.
- Cargo Collective - Work (Collection of work used for extended practice)

As Megan and i decided we would set up a cargo collective for her personal professional development. This would be used to have her work featured on it. I looked through the templates and Megan decided she liked this one.

- Choose Template - Counterform 2012

Variation.

Logos icons for business card:

Megan mentioned she like small icons so i created a small hexagon shape to apply to the business card, i wanted to use this shape instead of the O's but the it didnt look right with both of the letters. I also tried it into the corner but we didnt feel it worked. Simplicity was better.

I also tried the icons instead of simply text, Megan decided she preferred before keeping a consistent simplistic logo throughout the branding.

We decided to stick with the original business card design.
