D.S.M Interim Crit

Train Operator Group

Today i had my group interim crit we went over our ideas and were given some feedback on what we should be looking at and looking for. It was interesting to see what ideas and angles d.s.m come up with.

- Interactive Experience

- Train advertisements

- Look at train companies in depth

- Look at other company’s e.g innocent smoothies – How would they run a train company?


- Southwest airline they make everything amazing about flying.

- Base it on a tone of voice

- Somthing small & aspect rather than taking on something huge

- Make train look amazing & Cool

- Cost - Every one trying to compete

- Specific Audience - ' Family , Older people '

Come up with a..

- Name 

- Logo < Really important

- Make it iconic 

- 8th  - small groups present your big idea your story

- What you stand for

- How it can come to life

- Relevant Products to my big idea

What i need to do next..

- Start coming up with the brand

- Researching into Apps 

- British sweet shops

- British heritage

- Focus my idea.

After we had been given some points to consider we all went round and shared our ideas i am really pleased i had a strong concept to bring to the crit so that i could be given feedback.

Feedback:

- Keep it Simple

- Historic Places is a great idea so look into that. (Cultural in area)

- British Historical

- Consider my audience

I am glad that d.s.m liked my idea and it made me more confident about it. This isn't something i would of usually thought to design so its going to be different to what i usually produce. D.s.m mentioned about all the different things that they gave us as Brands they have had to design for at one point or another. I feel as though working with this type of brief will prepare me for industry working with briefs i wouldn't normally.
