The Method

Your task is to develop your own research methodology and find a way to communicate that. It could take the form of a meta project, or it could be more pragmatic and grounded in reality.

The important thing to develop in this project is a clear and defined way of looking a the world, filtering it and editing what you find to fit your interests and working practice.

Most succesful designers have finely honed methodologies and this is your chance to really explore your own.

IMPORTANT: This project is not about producing pretty things. We don't care what it looks like, only how well considered and useful it is.

The method i use now-

Brief > Dissect Brief (Identify key information) > Drawing > Make Notes

Primary Research > Photography > Interview People. > Questionnaires / Surveys

Additional Primary Research > Lectures >

Secondary Research > Books > Internet (blogs , initial analysis) .

CRIT

After having a crit with Ben we realised that what some of us had put down as our method was in fact just standard researching. So i need to have a think about what my methodology could be and how i can apply that to all of my briefs. I need to find a interesting way that i can research to get results & I also need to come up with a name for it.
