Extended Practice: Leeds Rag Fashion show & Promotional Video

Leeds Rag Fashion Show

For part of the YCN brief Issy and i are doing we got went along to leeds rag fashion show to film some footage for our promotional video. We were first in the VIP section at the Fashion show were we took some short clips and a few images that we can use at the beginning or end of the video.

We were sat really close to the front of the stage which was really good to get some close images and film.

We recived Vip & Press Passes & Booklets with winter Issue and the programme for the show.

For the beginning of the promotional video i created a document with the Scavi and Ray logo so i knew the video would have something to open with rather than a blurred moving image.

I used the programme I MOVIE. I first imported the folder with all of the footage and stills in , including the Scavi and Ray image for the beginning.

I Imported selected.

After having all the clips in the top left hand corner i was able to drag footage down then , Then using arrows i was able to make the clips shorter using the arrows.

To make the image black and white i clicked on the video effect and selected black and white. I also used the speaker icon and turned the footage to mute so no background noise came through.

As in the fashion show there was a boy playing the saxophone we decided to use a song called - Jubel Klingande.I dragged the song in to the bottom and line it up with the video at the point where the boy begins playing the saxophone. In order to do this i needed to cut some Clips shorted. I felt it worked well and made the video look more professional.
