Ditto - My Methodology.

For my methodology i thought about what types of research i do the most i decided as i usually get confused with lots of research at one time and what route to go down first. I often find that the research routes i go down some of the research tends to be unnecessary and not revenant for my topic. So i have come up with a methodology which will help me to determine the most revenant information in the most interesting and extensive way.

- Making extensive lists

- Making lists for the words with in the list 

- The lists will determine an over arching theme

- Selecting the most important words from each list that work as a set 

- This starts the main focus points for extensive in depth research.

Looking into more creative ways of list making.

- Post it notes

- Digital lists

- Different colours 

- Stocks & Type

- Scrap book style 

- Diagrams from lists

When we were in our group with Ben we had to present our methodologies to each other. After explaining what we do Ben gave us feedback suggesting that our methodologies weren't exciting enough and some of them were very similar and uninteresting.

- Need to come up with things that are interesting

- Should be able to meet a client & show them your design process rather than work to impress them.

- Makes us stand out

- You won't find different research on google to other people

- People don't care about primary, secondary , research

- Experience things rather than secondary research (Taking pictures , getting your self out there)

Things to look at.

- The cut up technique 1st & 2nd meaning = the third meaning. < Research

- Getting someone else to make the decisions rather than ourselves.

I felt today went well even though my methodology wasn't amazing it understand exactly what Ben was asking for after this session compared to our previous session. I now understand how i can make a methodology more interesting and i need to consider how it will benefit me.
